A pillow creature with a disgusted expression on its face – Ambroży. Dimensions approximately 40 x 50 cm. 3 colors of yarn. The used techniques are rather basic like chain, single crochet, magic circle, increase/decrease or slip stitch. For closing I used mattress stitch which is is a finishing technique for vertical seaming. It creates an invisible join, perfect for sewing the front and back of a work piece.

1. The body
Start with a chain of about 140 stitches depending on how big you want it to be. The chain connects in a circle and changes color every 10-11 rows. I used 2 colors, gray and brown.
2. Arms and legs
Hands (18 stitches) and legs (24 stitches) were next. Start with magic circle (6 stitches), increase single crochet to the right amount. Lips made using surface slip stitch.
3. Joining all together
Sew all parts together using slip stitch, fill the inside of pillow and sew on the buttons as eyes.
1.28 km length of yarn, almost 100 hours of work (including learning some basics) and a lot of fun 🙂
